Hello Coffee-Lovers
after there were already information and discussion about the Beanconqueror App (https://www.kahvekulubu.net/sosyal/threads/kahve-loglama-kayit-oneri-yontem-metodoloji.3483/) I thought it would be a better thing, to make an own topic for this.
If there is another space better, please move this topic :)

At first, I wanted to thank @portakalhalil for translating the whole App into Turkish! :)

So lets go:
The new Version 6.2 is live today!

Define the behavior of the bluetooth scale on a new brew - editable in settings
Define which graphs should be displayed on filter or espresso - editable in settings

You can reconnect your bluetooth scale or pressure device on the brew add/edit page

Beans

Show all brews to your bean
Support bean rating like for brews - editable in settings

More languages
Support of Turkish - Thanks to Halil Portakal
Support of Chinese - Thanks to Jiageng

Mills
Display of the last used grind setting, aswell as the last used bean

Improvements
Error message when a bean is scanned, which has not been approved yet
The edit of the brew-date is not activated by default

Others
Typos fixed
Fixed an issue that you didn't see the star-rating even with normal settings
Older brew graphics can now be exported again
Update to Ionic 6.3.0
Smaller bug fixes

Small Scale"hack":
Some has encountered the issue, that the scale is sometimes not properly connected, even so it shows its connected, but the weight is not transferred.
You can now reconnect the scale inside a new brew or when editing a brew.
If the weight-tile is not showing "?" anymore, the connection should be stable and the weight is transferred.

First of all, thanks for the app @Graphefruit and @portakalhalil for the translation, great work!

I was checking the latest version and found many useful settings, one is brew coordinates which I never thought I would need but I felt it's great feature to remember when brew while travelling and remember the good memories with location. Just a question about this, do you collect the coordinate data as well? I believe it's written in terms & conditions but too long to read :)

One suggestion, that would be great if csv import was possible for bulk bean entry. I tried QR for some Turkish roasters but either didn't work or there's no QR on the package, it's a hassle to enter manually on phone. I would appreciate if you consider this feature. We or roasters may create some files to help the community for ease of use.

No, these data are just your data.
But make sure if you ever share your .JSON-File which is exported, there the coordinates are included.

In the last update, I've added the first possibility to share beans without any server via a link to other users.
The QR-Code feature means, that roasters need to get in contact with me (or vice versa) and get an access to support those.

I'm already thinking about the idea, to support the bean-parameter data, like for brews, so you can decide yourself which data shall be displayed and filled in and which not.

A bulk CSV import would be a possible solution, but format things are important aswell, so roast dates e.g. would need to be correctly, else the app may import data wrong.
I'll open up a Github ticket for this request, maybe I can provide a good solution for this.

My two cents; you may add a column in CSV to determine date format (e.g. column E=0 means dd/mm/yy, column E=1 is mm/dd/yy).

Hello @Graphefruit,

First of all good work and thank you for the app. I recently download it and have been enjoying it quite a lot. Since I find you here, I wanted to make a suggestion if it is possible. :)

I like the Bean page that we can even add detailed varieties. Actually I would like to note that details down. But writing down all of those details are a little boring. Is there a chance if you can fix a solution to make it easier? For example, a camera connection would be cool. You now, with that camera read the text and then we edit the text instead of writing. Or If you can make a website for the exact same app so we can login the webpage and we can copy paste the details from the roaster so it would appear my app. That would be super nice.

Many thanks for your interest in advance. :)

Hey @Juxtapose,
thank you for your feedback, and sorry for taking that long time to answer!

The synchronization/login or website functionality is an often asked feature, but its a big big thing, which will led into a user login in the end which needs really much development aswell as testing. (Offline / Online synchronisation, photo sync etc.)
As much as I'd love to do this, as less time I've for this right now.
In the end, there also comes the situation, that with a user login, more infrastructure/server needs to exists, which needs to be paid.
Actually the costs are 0% covered in the actual situation and after I pay this out of my own pocket this is not a thing at the moment.
I've tried the Android / iOS solutions for this, but they didn't offered me the solution which would be needed
I hope you can understand this!

One thing I have in mind, is maybe to an small landing-page where you can go and insert all data, generate an import link and import it to your device, this would work like the actual sharing-feature for beans, where a link is generated and users can import those data.
But actually this is also a thing which is more back in the backlog

The camera connection would also be one solution, some users on Discord have discussed it way deeper, the problematic is, that there is no standard on bags, and how information are put on, specially when it comes to different languages.
So for the satisfaction for the user: 100%, but actually the implementation work and the outcome benefit is to small for me

Have a great day & just the best brews possible
Lars

Version 6.6.2 is live!

Due to Google's requirement to increase the Android Target SDK to 33, we've also encountered the issue of severely restricted file system access for Beanconqueror.
While testing on my devices (including Android 13), I couldn't reproduce the problem in the same way because my Google Pixel seemed to have some kind of fallback.
Anyways, it was recognized, and a hotfix was necessary.

What's important to note: Import/export still works, but you'll need to do it slightly differently than before. You can find all the information about this here -> https://beanconqueror.com/faq
Additionally, the minimum Android level is now 7.0 (previously 5.1); this couldn't be kept lower due to the requirements of the new Target SDK.

For those with older Android devices, you can still download the old releases on GitHub (anything below 6.6.2).

After several library updates were required, the iOS app has also been updated.

You can find it as usual at:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beanconqueror.app
iOS: ‎https://apps.apple.com/en/app/beanconqueror/id1445297158
GitHub: https://github.com/graphefruit/Beanconqueror/releases/tag/v6.6.2

If you notice anything else, please let me know!

Best regards,
Lars

Uygulamayı kullananlara soru sorayım, bu kahve bağımlılığı ne tür bir parametre, nasıl çalışıyor anlamadım. Demleme yönteminde l/kg diyor, istatistikte kg/l diyor.
